need a recommendation on a projector for Medical Clinic

I work at a Radiation Oncology Center where we will be replacing our old projector with one that we can purchase from CDW.com due to our vendor agreements. The projector will be used in a well lighted room (3 windows facing to the south that can be blocked with shades). We use it for conversing with another clinic over webcam. So we will be viewing webcam video and looking at electronic patient documents (lots of text) and CT/MRI/X-ray images (lots of gray scale pixels). The electronic chart system we use looks nice at the native resolution of the monitors we use (1600x1200) so I figured a resolution that matches that would be best, or at least one that comes close. Ideally it should 4:3 aspect ratio.

I found this one, an Epson PowerLite 1261W Projector.

Are there any others you would consider? I'm not that knowledgeable on the merits between the various technologies for projectors.

Any help you give is greatly appreciated.

Thanks

What is the budget? In the under $1k category I would defnitely go DLP for viewing Xrays, MRI, etc. Their real world contrast is just better. Specs are just marketing fluff as the lumens rating is usually in a poor picture quality mode. Which might not matter if looking at graphs on a power point but for pictures, x-rays, etc. it does. You need a good amount of brightness to deal with your ambient light and DLP will give better contrast in this price range. If you are using a 4:3 source you are probably better going with a 4:3 projector unless you go with a 1920 x 1200 widescreen and have black bars on the side. That owuld work well but would be more money.

I would like to keep it below $1500. Which dlp on cdw.com do you like? Thanks for the response.

What size screen do you use? I'm wondering why you don't just use a flat panel TV?

or

http://www.cdw.com/shop/products/InFocus-IN3118HD-Projector/2514912.aspx

Infocus has the 5 year warranty vs 3 year on Optoma. Both are ridiculously bright, high resolution, and DLP.

Can those do a 4:3 aspect ratio or are they stuck in 16:9?

That is just the max resolution. I'm sure they can accept a different resolution in 4:3 (e.g., 1280x1024, 1024x768, 800x600, etc.).
