I've managed to get myself very confused in regards to amplifier power. I read through the sticky at the top but it probably only made the situation worse. I'm looking to buy a pair of Paradigm Studio 20's and the matching CC490. These are all rated with a sensitivity of 90 dB (87 dB anechoic) with and a listed "Suitable Amplifier Power Range 15-180 Watts". I currently have the Yamaha RX-V671 and I am trying to figure out whether it is sufficient for these speakers. It's listed as "Rated Output Power (20Hz-20kHz, 2ch driven): 90W (8ohms, 0.09% THD)". With 130 W Dynamic Power. Will these be powerful enough for these speakers? The receiver was a gift from my wife and I am therefore hesitant to replace it.
