Need New TV - Ex Girlfriend Smashed Old One :(

Hey Everyone,

A couple years ago I purchased a 63" Samsung pn65c590 television that I was very happy with. I believe back then I paid around $2500 for the display. The television worked superb...that is until my ex-girlfriend hurdled a frame off the wall into the screen and cracked the screen :/

So now I say, bye bye ex girlfriend....hello new TV! lol

So really what I want is a new television ranging from 50"-63" that is either comparable in quality to the old television I had, and the price range I'm looking at is between $1000-$1500.

Also, I am open to suggestions as I am open to the possibility of LCD/LED or would go back the Plasma route if that's the best bang for my buck.

Any advice would be amazing!

Here are a few choices that may fit your price range:

Samsung
PN60E6500
PN64E550 (not 100% sure on the price, but I think it should fit within there)

Panasonic:
55ST50 (possibly the 60" as well)
UT series (not sure on the cost or size that would fit your budget, but I am guessing they have a 55 and or 60+ that might fit your needs.

You may also want to look at LG. A 60" non 3D-non smart (pm6500 think) can be had for 900 bucks or so, the PM6700 which has 3d and smart apps is around 1399. A lot of folks wont even look at anything other than Panny or Samsung, but only you can decide what picture you like. Just putting it out there....
