I am only level 46 and am older than all of you. My age currently matches my level! K/D is around .96 and I have been running the MSMC with reflex and quick mag. Playing killed confirm and domination mostly trying to rank up. I want to try GHOST because I get raped from behind so much. Wait a minute, didn't mean that like it sounded........

I find I have some game where I just dominate and others where I get crushed. I think my best game was 46-12 playing domination on shipwrecked.

I haven't found the "best" option for game connection. I consistently am 1 bar under the rest of the group. I will give it a shot.

Had a team where half of us were running black hats last night....pretty fun. I would recommend trying to get used to it, as it definitely can boost your xp and get your next scorestreak. And, most important, it really pisses off the other team when they die from their own bouncing betty....or go to pick up their care package and get blown up from the booby trap (plus you get their package)...

Was in a match last night this guy on my team had his care package stolen by the other team. Not long later he got another and said to his friend "I wonder if I can actually get my care package this time?" I couldn't help myself. I turned and whipped out my black hat as he was lying on the ground getting his care package and stole it. He yells "IT DISAPPEARED!!!! MY CAREPACKAAGE DISAPPEARED!!!! THERE IS SOMETHING WRONG WITH THIS GAME!!! Where'd it go?!?!?"

I know it was evil but was hilarious. One of the funniest moments I have had in any COD.

Love the blackhat to say the least.

I must say I love how this game rewards the players that actually play the objective. The new Score Streak seems to have affected the way people play in general for the better.

I mostly play objective based games solo. In my limited time with the game so far I see more players going for the objectives in random lobbies compared to past COD’s. Which is awesome, I don’t get that feeling like I’m the only one trying to cap flags.

In terms of owning and geting owned, I totally agree with you. I believe it has something to do with the internet connection(maybe someone new joined with a crappy connection) or perhaps they have progammed dumming you down if you totally own. Doubt it, but it is very curious indeed. Conversely, my K/D definitely goes down after a few choice malt beverages.......

For me, knowing that I can do well keeps me coming back for me more.

And yeah, I went 16-4 one match last night, but then got CRUSHED in another. I was in a game on Cargo with a guy that went 43-2! I watched the replay and he was awesome. He stayed up in that building Quick-Scoping anybody that would poke their head up. He used a bouncing betty and a shock grenade and scavenger (to keep the grenade pouch full) and was just incredible. I suck at sniping.

Sometimes I do good, sometimes I don't. I guess so much of it has to do with who is in your lobby. I prefer to play with 4 yr old blind kids.

I'd be game for this, that is if you'll let a kid like me join. I turn 41 in a few weeks. Maybe a clan tag of [2OLD]? My PSN is the same as on here.

Edit: OK, if any of you old-timers want to try out the clan thing, I created my first ever clan called "The Geriatrics". Anyone over 40 on here who wants to join, please do. Might be fun.

Not sure. I've never done it either. I think you can just change it. I did go on https://elite.callofduty.com/player/home and create a clan, but there it had you actually pick a longer name, so I went with "The Geriatrics". I'll see if I can send you an invite from there...

Just picked this up last night. Haven't touched a console FPS since the last black ops so I am a bit rusty. None the less went ~0.9 in my first session and got to level 15 last night, so off to a decent start.

What are some good guns to watch for as I unlock them? I used the FAMAS a lot in in bo1 and am looking for something similar. Rifle that almost has an smg feel to it at close range. Or an SMG that has a bit more power to it like the ak-74u?

M7 seems pretty solid and I have mostly been using that, but it feels more like a pure run-n-gun smg.

Overall the "starter" set of guns seem a lot more capable then in bo1 and it looks like prestiging will be a lot less painful.

Nice to see I'm not the only old guy. 50 years young.

Totally clueless on how to create a clantag. How fitting, the geriatrics cannot figure out the clantag technology. I can already here the rage talk about us camping to much:) I will be on tonight and look forward to connecting up you old guys. However, be warned that Frank the Tank comes out later sometimes(Will Ferrell character the movie OLD school.)

I just go the long barrel for the M7 last night and am pretty happy with it. Definitely gives it that bit of a range boost to make it usable at mid distance and is a pretty comfortable gun to use on most of the maps.

ROFL so i guess that explains my similar experience so you can steal your teammates care packages faster than the care package owner with the black hat?

I am currently ranking up the MSMC with laser, reflex and handle. Working really good for me. Was on last night with it and had a kill confirmed match of 46-12 and 38-9. It was awesome, I probably had 7-8 games where my K/D was 3+. Then after a match a message came up stating a game update needed to be implemented. I implemented it and it brought me back to the main menu. After that it was horrible. I was playing with HDSapper and another buddy. Dudes were flying all over the place and just raping us. I would unload on a guy and then get killed. There was one guy with pistol that was just killing us. He was skipping around so fast and seemed to have 3 flack jackets on. I was going 6-20 or worse. It was unplayable. We switched hosts and kill confirmed games were unplayable. The three of us then jumped out and played domination and it seemed normal again. Just so random. Any thoughts on why such a drastic inconsistency????

anyone get teh short fuse challenge done? everyone uses bettys and it seems like they dont blow up for crap when i shoot them. then i actually got a kill by shooting the betty and no credit on the challenge? guess it couldve have been someone elses betty but damn what a pain
