svs pb12-plus or outlaw lfm-ex

i was hoping to get some help deciding if it is worth spending $1400 on the svs sub or will the outlaw for 589 be enough to fill my basement which is 16X30X8. I know that the svs sub is a way better sub but is it worth spending almost $800 more on it? any suggestions would be great thanks

Do you think that 2 lfm-ex will be better than single pb12-plus? I really want to be able to feel the effects when watching movies and didnt know if two smaller rated subs would beat one big sub

The LFM is a well-rated, large-room subwoofer. I don't know whether two LFMs will be better than a single PB12, but they will certainly be better than the single LFM you were considering in your original post.

For roughly the same money (shipped) as the PB12, dual LFMs would provide plenty of output in your 3,840 cu.ft. space (along with the option of 16Hz extension), as well as a smoother overall frequency response at the listening position (vs. a single sub).

Looking at the (not-quite-apples-to-apples) measurements of the two on Audioholics, the LFM's may have more output depending on how far apart they are. Either way, it is close, and having two would allow you the ability to set them up to improve the rooms FR, which will be more noticeable than a db or 2 more of max output.

I purchased a b-stock lfm-ex last night for 589 shipped so when that gets here tuesday i think i will find out how well it does and as soon as another b-stock shows up for sale i will probably jump at it unless i cant wait which is probably what will happen thanks for all the help

Setup the new outlaw sub and sounds good but i think im gonna order the svs and compare both and just return the one i dont want. This is the hardest decision of my life lol
