Buying a new TV for the first time in years

So as the title says, I'm finally going to be upgrading from my old Toshiba 65H84 Rear Projection (Thing has been a tank and has lasted me far longer than it ever should have) to something a bit more modern. I've spent the last 3-4 weeks trying to do as much research as I can, but I've found myself at a loss. I've scoured these forums in particular and gleaned a bunch of useful data, but I still can't seem to come to a point where I feel comfortable deciding on what to do. So, I figured I'd throw this out there and see if anyone can offer some input.

I've 98% sure at this point in time that I'm going to get a plasma, I've read a bunch of comparisons and have wandered into my local BB to check them out and have been quite pleased with the overall quality and price vs. size. I use the TV primarily for streaming through my Xbox or PS3, the rest of the time its used for Gaming and Regular TV watching. I have a small Blu-Ray collection built up, but it just doesn't get used in its current state due to the TV. I've got zero use for SmartTV features (As both of the consoles have all of the same apps and perform all the functions I need, do people REALLY use Facebook on their TV? lol) and I don't care about 3D functionality. I just need a TV that is going to look great, perform well in regular lighting and last a long time. I'm a simple man!

So far I've looked at the following TV's but haven't found any reliable way to compare them:

LG 60PA6500
Panasonic TC-P60UT50
Samsung PN60E530A3FXZA
Samsung PN60E550D1FXZA

I don't think that I can go 'wrong' so to speak, but I would like to know that I got the best device for my money as I keep my TV's for as long as possible.

Interesting, I had heard some good stuff about the LG, has that changed in the past few months/year?

I'm very interested in the ST50, was just looking into it... how much of a difference would there be between the UT50? And when I ask that I mean in terms of things I'll actually miss....

Also, what is the function of the Black Filter that you are talking about?

Ok, cool... Just read some reviews on the Panasonic and Samsung, I feel like I'm in a similar boat as some other folks in wondering which one is truly better.

And again, I had the non-3d - non-smart TV deal in there because I saw that LG. $900 for a pretty decent 60" isn't bad at all...

I do have lighting in the room, though it would seem that whatever new place we move into will have blinds for us to close and then we'll be installing curtains over that top of those... my current screen is glossy and while I would like to have something that wasn't, it hasn't been the end of the world... and for the most part we watch our movies/shows at nighttime anyway.

So narrowed down to these three:

UT50
ST50
E6500

After reading everything I have, it doesn't really seem like there's an actual 'Bad' choice here... but I'm wondering which TV's people have had the best luck with/been the happiest with?

I ended up with the 60UT50 ... So far, I LOVE IT!!!

Only downside has been the sound, which is abysmal (I'm sure my room isn't set up in a way that helps either) and I've rectified that by purchasing a Vizio VHT215 which should be in tomorrow (No room in the Apartment for a full on audiophile set up).
