blu ray player sync issues

The set up is samsung blu ray Pb/Pr/Y outputs to component/rgb converter to Marquis 8500. This all worked just fine until I tried to use HDMI Blu Ray output to interface with a scaler I was trying to introduce. Having gone back to the non scaler setup, I seemed to have screwed up the blu ray player setup in that projector will no longer sync (vert). Don't think it is projector issue as other inputs (HTPC) work fine. Any idea which player setup item???
