Quotes and paragraph/line spacing

I've noticed that when quoting posts with multiple paragraphs, or more complex posts such as ones that contain quotes, all line spacing seems to have been removed in the quote that I am making.

For example:

Post I'm quoting contains quotes and I only want to reply to the replies in the post:

Start of post
Quote

Reply

Quote

Reply
End of post

When I quote, it formats in the editor like this:

Start of quote
Quote
Reply
Quote
Reply
End of quote

... and all paragraph spacing is removed.


I may only want to respond to parts of a quote, and the lack of paragraph spacing makes it a real pain to edit out the bits I don't want to reply to.

No way to make this an option? It makes it damn near impossible to quote complex posts and respond to individual parts of a post.
