Hello I have went through lot of reading and research and will be getting my first receiver soon.
I have decided to get either Yamaha or Denon but still bit undecided so asking for some input that you all have through your experience.
Receiver will be hooked up in a basement with 2.1 (Possibly going 5.1 later on) with zone 2 being on the main floor with another 2 speakers, so hopefully all of receivers i'm looking at can be remotely started/turned on with the remote apps so that’s a must as well as Airplay is a must, rest of internet services would be a bonus. It will be hard wired to my home network. Not sure how up scaling and 4K etc is really needed for future or it’s a needless option. 3D would be necessary as well as I’m planning to get 3D projector.
1) Denon model AVR-2313CI (899 sell price I believe) or Yamaha RX-V773 (899 I’d try to get better price then this)
This would be my ultimate set up since both have 2 HDMI outputs which I will need to have Plasma and Projector hooked up and not running back and switching cables but it’s bit past my receiver budget considering 13% tax on a top.
Or this set up with: (with this one I’ll need to get HDMI output splitter to hook up both Plasma for every day watching and Projector as secondary)
2) Denon model AVR-2113CI (not sure of the price as I can’t find it in local Futureshop or Bestbuy but about $749) or Yamaha RX-V673 ($699)
3) Or possibly save even more and get Denon AVR-2112CI which in Bestbuy in Canada sells for about $499 or AVR-1913 (BB has good discount so $499 as well) which in my mind seems to be similar level receiver if they would be enough for what I need.
If I can save some cash I can spend it on better speakers so don’t want to go over my head with something that I won’t use.
