I did not know that they went from 2 ess dac to 1 ess dac for the stereo output. They did it to cut costs and screw us?
Update: Kal, I checked oppo web site and it said same 2 ess dac my friend. 1 for 7.1 and 1 for stereo output. Why you said only one?
Check amazon review. Also check audigon forum. They claimed bdp-95 sounds better overall. This is not good news. I don't want oppo to keep on putting new stuffs into their blu-ray all-in-one unit and keep degrading audio.
Sorry to say but the 105 is the better sounding player and if not I'd still have my 95 , I had the same concerns but once heard the 105 quickly put my ears at ease you can check my post early on in the 95 thread , I pronounced it a "Giant Killer" the 105 graciously surpasses it by taking what the 95 did so well and bettered it in many respects which was no easy task it has better drive and pace and didn't compromise the "Analog" sound that was very neutral lean every so slightly to the warm side with slightly recessed midrange but with the right nudge to the center of neutral and a clearly better separation of instruments and better defined bass while retaining an Airy and spacious quality you can hear deeper into the mix and come away with a better connection to the music! Its just a better bottle of wine with more complexity that makes one say " Oh that's good"
