!!! Help Needed : Def Tech 8060ST bundle or Mythos XTR-50 Bundle ?

Novice and first time Home theater system builder.
Need some advice from the experts/gurus out here

I am getting 2 Def tech bundles for around the same price :

1. 2 Def Tech BP-8060ST, CS 8040HD and 2 SR 8040BP

2. 2 Def Tech Mythos XBR-50, SC4000, and 2 XTR-20BP

I can't demo these anywhere, so what I want to know is which one would be more realistic and better in terms of overall value+performance+longetivity package ?

Also, is there any other 5.1 system in the same price range (around 2k), which might be better ? My room is a typical apartment room, and I mostly watch TV, movies and occasionally music.

Can you tell me what made you go with 8060ST over the slim mythos xtr-50 bundle ?
From what I could gather, the mythos xtr-50 speakers always require the sub, and standalone they are like any other average speaker set as they will not go low (meant to be wall mounted/shelved). The 8060STs dont require any sub , but I can still add one later if needed.
