do you get the feeling that it fills the space? do you feel it punching you in that space? i don't think so. i bet the only thing you feel is the vibrations from the floor and the "boom" from the room.
if i am wrong, please tell me your configurations, etc, so that we can compare.
Last night, as i was using my PB-1000 so that it can run-in at some point, i placed my Logitech z-5500 at the front looking at me (between front left and front right), and connected that as well to my AVR, so i have 5.2 right now. i have used my lame android db meter, and matched the same db on the SVS and on the Logitech, (i set the Logitech a little bit lower, so that it doesn't go above the SVS).
The results? Still i can't say that i feel the bass on me, but I THINK! that now both of them working, it fills the room a little bit better. I also checked db noise with both of the subs playing and they were exactly the same, so i guess that in db matter they are alike. The final impression is that the Logitech didn't hurt. So it is staying...
I will confirm those results at some point, when i manage to get a good microphone, and run REW at my place.
