1080p vs 720p over VGA cable - Native resolutions

Hello,

I´m coming to this forum in search for help regarding a doubt i have. I have a Samsung LCD connected to my Xbox360 thru VGA cable. Don´t like the HDMI it feels slow in fast paced games (FPS) and i have always had better results using the VGA cable.
The native resolution of the LCD is 1080p (1920x1080) but all the games have native resolution of 720p - my question is:

Which resolution should i play with 1080p or 720p?

Thanks all!

1080p. Device side scaling is almost always the better choice over display side scaling. The device knows what the source is, the display does not.

Thanks James! I will follow you on that.
It´s amazing how slow the HDMI works on my LCD - i do like the graphics but everything is slower and first person shooters are unplayabale - in a competitive way of course.
