On sale for $699 plus you get a $50 newegg gift card with purchase (covers tax for me here in California)

72 hour sale.

Still trying to determine if I should jump on this or go with HD20 or HC4000. This price is making it hard to pass up.

good price for a new pro8200, comes with 3 year warranty and 1 year on bulb.
The hd20 is 870 on amazon with 1 year warranty and 90 days on bulb.
The the mits 4000 is 1,100 on amazon with 2 year warranty.

What is there to think about? biggrin.gif

Look over the reviews on amazon for the 3 models going from newest going back in time, and if someone posts negative review on any model, read the follow up comments to find out if others agree or not, some people are newbies, so you are looking to get current users and how they feel about the product.

And check 3 forum rooms in here looking at last 3 months to find out if any problems with any of these models. Good luck.

Can you apply the 50 dollar gift card to this purchase?

Amazon has now matched the $699 price. However, no $50 gift card.

I'm pulling the trigger on this, any clue if the mount they will package for $15 is worth it?

I have no idea what I"m looking for in a mount

I don't have any experience with this mount but I was looking at this too. Seems like a good deal. It's well reviewed on the site. It's basic, but that's all I need in a mount. I guess it would depend what depth and such you need. When I had my last projector it was on the back wall so it was just mounted underside a shelf, so I didn't need "depth". That being said, I still paid a lot more than $15 for a crappy mount off of ebay. I'm still trying to figure out if I want to pull the trigger but if I did I'd grab this mount with it.

I think today is the last day for this offer and I was wondering if this could be a direct replacement for my Mits HD1000U. I have a 100" in a 14' long room.

That's exactly what I'm doing and the calculator I saw says that 100" should be about a 12' 3" distance. What you need to worry about is the height as the throw is rough on this one. I'm replacing a HD1000u and my Pro8200 will be here today. My concern is that my ceiling isn't high enough since I'm in a basement even though it's a 9' ceiling. You need to pay attention to how high it needs to be above the screen. On a 100" screen you need to be 16.8" above the top of the screen.

Thanks Jeremy. My ceiling is only 8' but my screen is adjustable in height as it's just suspended by chains. I did look this up yesterday at the projector central calculator but didn't really arrive at a good answer. I have a DIY mount (flange, pipe, and plexi glass) to the ceiling, I can always shorten the pipe but would prefer not to do any major modification to my current setup.
