To any bic v1220 owners. What are your setting for your sub. Trying to figure out what phase 0-180 does.And whats best. And if setting it to dolby digital or 5.1,6.1,7.1 digital.
I have the same unit. I have the phase set to 0 and the receiver toggle set to 5.1, 6.1, 7.1. I think the receiver toggle sure turns on/off the subs crossover filter. As far as I know, my receiver is handling the crossover for me. What is your experience with your settings at this point?
From what I've read, once you set it to 5.1 6.1 7.1 then the receiver controls the sub and the settings on the unit itself don't matter, but I do have my volume set at 7.

What is best will depend on how you have the sub set up in your environment. Typically, if you have the sub up front, 0 may work better, but not always. Switch it back and forth and see which one sounds better / produces more bass.
