I am not comfortable with REW or the mini DSP. The Anti-Mode is out of my price range. The one I want is the Velodyne SMS-1. I know the Anti-Mode is better because it performs in the time domain, still I want an SMS-1.
I've seen a few SMS-1's on Audiogon but I was turned off because the sellers seemed not to have a proven track record.
I've been hoping that Velodyne would have a sale, with Black Friday looming, but so far $499 is the best I've seen.
I would consider buying used if I know the seller. Preferably within driving distance.
Vann's had the SMS-1 for $339 about a year ago and that price is still on their web site, however, they can't seem to get any stock from Velodyne.
