the 8350, 3020, and 5020 are current models. the others are very recent, and widely available refurbished.
the 3020 and 5020 are best for 3d, with the 3020 being the plain model and the 5020 being the videophile model.
alas, what about 2d? I don't care much about 3d.
the 8350 is supposed to be the 2d home theater model, but it is 2 years old. does the new 3020 beat it even on its home turf of 2d movies? does the 5020 beat the 8350 easily on 2d?
the 8700 is expired, but does it perform as well as the 5020 on 2d home theater application? is it much better than the 3020 for 2d applications? where does it rank? almost as good as the 5020, or just a little better than a 3020?
(Assume that light output is good enough on all of them.)
any insights would be appreciated.
