Overloaded with "deals" Any good LCD's?

I initially decided on trying to get the 55ST50 plasma display but I am not seeing many deals on those right now besides on Amazon. I haven't done much research on LCD's because I figured I would get a plasma. Is there any 55"-60" 3d LCD's less than 1100 that you might recommend with good black levels? Panasonic seems to be the favorite for Plasmas but who is good with LCD's?

Also, do most LCD's have matte screens? If not do they show reflections pretty bad?
