Please help to setup a home theatre !!

Hai guys..,

I'm in a lot of confusion about choosing home theatre & receiver (5.1)

I've searched everywhere to find a decent setup..

Also buying 3dtv of sony (46hx850) with 3d player..

want a good decent setup for the tv !!


My receiver budget : around 200$
Home theatre : 500$


Currently iam thinking of these >

Denon AVR 1612 (199$) with energy take classic 5.1

or

Denon AVR 1612 (199$) with Pioneer's SP-PK21BS


All i want is decent enough surround sound and bass !!


Which is better ?? home theatre in a box or buying separately ?

Suggest some speakers.. & receivers

And one more thing...

Don't want over noise from subs.. want clear crisp sound from speakers !

What you want with your budget is going to be difficult. The size of your room is going to make a difference for your set up. If your room is large you will need better speakers. If you've got a small room then smaller less expensive speakers might do well. I would suggest for you to look at the new Pioneer Phase 2 speakers if you want a decent budget 5.1 surround sound.

Lets see: Denon 1612 $200
Front L/R : Pioneer FS52's $200
Center: Pioneer CS22 $100
Surround: BS22 $100
Sub: BIC F12 $200

For a total of: $800 dollars. This does not include shipping or taxes.

By looking at your picture, I would suggest a better bed biggrin.gif. Also the room looks small, and buying bulky speakers will most likely hinder you. I would suggest going with satellite speakers and a 8" sub.

fwiw, the denon avr1612 is a solid choice. if you want great clear sound in your budget a pair of kef iq10's $250 on friday (iwould purchace asap as i would imagine these will sell out fast) at kef direct. and a klipsch rw-12d sub $300 at newegg this will give you a great 2.1 system for your size room.

That is a small room - look at the Acoustic Energy system from AC4L
Once you add it to the cart - the price will come in under $500

What's the difference btw AVR 1612 & AVR 1613... other than airplay..network etc.. any notable difference in sound quality ??

found that amazon has 250$ for 1613.. 5.1

Please suggest a decent home theatre receiver.. lost interest in denon AVR 1612 & 1613...

Requirments.. ::

Don't want many features.. like airplay... network.. etc.. not at all necessary for my use....

1st priority is audio perfomance !!

should be 3d supported !

Btw bought sony 46hx850... superb !! smile.gif

Denon does a good job with efficient power handling in surround mode.
Yamaha from the 6XX series on up, are nice.

You do not need a lot of speaker or sub to fill that room - How far are you going
to be back, from the placement of the speakers? Also, where do you plan to put
the surrounds?
