Energy Take Classic 5.1 vs KEF FiveTwo Model 11

This is probably a real stupid question coming from a novice like me biggrin.gif

I already own the Energy Take Classic 5.1 but I can get a good deal on the KEF FiveTwo Model 11 speakers (link below). Would the KEF speakers be a significant upgrade in sound quality? Thanks

It depends, how much do they cost? If $2699 is correct I'd say not worth it.

I have a friend who owns the KEF and they sound wonderful, i know what deal your talking about and i just bought 2 pair. Its a very good deal. Just like Cnet says make sure you get a sub if you don't already have one.

Why don't you guys post the deal so that it makes more sense when comparing the speakers?

If two speakers sounds like 5 and you bought two pair, how will they sound 4 in a room together? do all the special qualities cancel each other out or add to the experience?

Sorry i wasn't clear, i bought 2 pair for 2 separate rooms. A pair of these occupies all 5 channels on a receiver. I was about to buy another rw-12d and they ran out of stock.... dang lol.

I would think if someone doesn't want to run wires all over the room that this 2 speaker setup does a decent job of virtual 5.1.

Not bad for $299 provided you add a decent sub. Obviously the Takes need a sub too.
