Can Canadians buy warranty from squaretrade or do you have to go through costco ST?

Hi all,
I''m getting mixed feedback regarding squaretrade warranty. Looking through the forums, it looks like you can buy extended warranty from ST, but when i emailed and even called them, ST warranty is not available to Canadians?
Also, when i called ST, they said their warranty runs in parallel to the manufacture warranty. Ex: You bought a tv with 1yr manufacturer warranty and buy ST warranty for 3 years, you don't get a total for 4 years coverage, just 3.

If that's the case, can I purchase the ST warranty from Costco (i am a member) even if I didn't buy the tv from them?

I'm so confused!

PS: BB and FS warranty is easily double that of ST

Depends where in Canada you are living. I'm in BC and sad to say that square trade warranty is not offered here! I had to purchase my warranty through the store I bought from.

thanks, man. here in Ontario if you buy a tv from costco, you can purchase the ST warranty.

If u live in ontario you can buy the SquareTrade warrantee from costco but you don't Have to buy the TV from them.I called ST & as long as u live in the provinces covered u'll have no problem, but as some1 else said>>> u ONLY get 4 yrs. not 5, or maybe 3, i forget, but for 100$ that way better then 370$ @ bestbuy.
