Hey guys,
while searching for a new TV, I stumbled across this forum. I've read through some of the threads here and I believe this is the right place to ask my questions. I hope you can help me deciding which TV I should buy.
As you can see from the title, I'm thinking about getting the Panasonic 42GT50 or the Samsung 51E6500. The GT50 recieved very good reviews on every site I've read, so I chose it as a favorite (the 50GT50 is still too expensive for me, though). However, the Samsung 51E6500 seems to be very good too, some reviews declared it even better than the GT50. It's also the same price as the 42GT50, but it has a bigger screen, so it's a big favorite of mine, too.
So now I'm unsure which of the 2 TVs would be better for me. Gaming doesn't interest me at all, I would mainly use the TV for watching movies.
Even though I'm expanding my Blu-Ray collection, I've still got lots of DVDs, so the TV should handle SD-stuff without problems.
I've heard the Samsung can handle SD-stuff better. Is that true? Also, the Panasonics seem to have problems with Crosstalk and Ghosting when watching 3D. Is the Samsung better in this department, too?
So, which of the both TVs would you recommend to me?

if you are comparing 50 vs 51 inches both of these sets would be good choices. I do believe the blacks on the smaller Samsungs aren't as good as the larger sizes. The Samsung does handle SD better in most cases. The 3d performance is pretty close on both sets.
