Didn't think this film was anything special given the buzz... a rather by-the-numbers screenplay that I felt I'd seen countless times before in other action movies. The villain was introduced as the most clever, dastardly, and evil nemesis for Bond
ever...
Warning: Spoiler! (Click to show)and this foppish, prancing freak's whole "brilliant" scheme boils down to dressing up as a cop to shoot "M" at a hearing.
Wow... how original.

The cinematography didn't impress me much, considering how ga-ga DP's, especially Deakins, seem to be over the Arri Alexa (at only 2k to boot). Maybe it was the digitally stylized color timing choices, or lighting, or what... but it sure looked like digital video to me... and some shots were downright artificial and ugly.
I think I'll pass on this one.
