Epson 5010 / 5020 Two Tone Wht / Black - an eyesore?

I'm considering the Epson 5020 for my dedicated theater with an all-black ceiling, but I'm thinking it will be an eyesore with the lights on. Am I wrong?
My current projector is generally invisible as it is black. I can't see paying the 6020 upcharge to get the black trim, even with the extra stuff. Is the white casing easily enough removed in order for me to paint it?

Thanks, I have a vented enclosure already, I'll probably have to enlarge it a bit but that won't be too big a deal. I'm also considering the PT-AE8000U, with it I could stick to the original plan of ditching the enclosure.

I bought the 5020 and it works a lot better than it looks!
