A Few Clarification Questions for the Pros Please: Pro8200 & Spandex DIY Screen - Page 2

Which side of the Moleskin should I be using? They're pretty similar but the one side appears to be slightly more flat and shiny whereas the other appears to be textured and more flat. I assume that the latter side is the one you want outward to project onto, right?

Well, I ended up using the slight sheen side (I think) and either way it looks great. I have plenty of tweaking to do but since FedEx decided not to show up until almost 8:00pm I finished up late. They usually show up around lunch time and in preparation for this I tore everything else down and so I needed to finish tonight to have a screen for tomorrow. One night w/o Call of Duty is enough but I don't want to go two.

Is it possible? Yes. Will I be doing it? Nope. This was a PITA enough with all the extra before I trimmed it off so I don't see how this is going to be doable since the extra is all trimmed off now. I could see it being a nightmare and I'm just hoping I will never need to attempt to redo it for any reason.

Can't be done with the backing layer. needs to be trimmed to less than an inch for clearance for the top layer. Then, depending on how you mounted you can't really leave any extra or attach it anywhere. I'm fine with that though as I've never really had a desire to machine wash my projector screens. I guess in hindsight I may have just gone with staples instead of Screen Tight because while this isn't actually permanent it's pretty much as much of a PITA as just removing and replacing staples would be anyway. Now, if something crazy comes about I may change my tune and be glad that I have indeed made my material removable but it would have to be something pretty awful for me to take this thing apart again. Frankly, I don't see it happening.
