Primary uses will be gaming and movies, with some use as a PC monitor as well. I like that the Vizio has onboard Netflix capability and WiFi, as well as more HDMI ports, but the Samsung is cheaper and I would have to get the Vizio used - good, from Amazon to meet my budget. I'm not familiar with plasmas so I'm a bit hesitant as I know they can suffer burn-in if used improperly.
