Is Upgrade From Epson 8350 to Epson 5020 a Significant Improvement For 2D?

I have a 2 year old Epson 8350 working in my fairly bright family room with a 110 inch screen. I have been very pleased with the 8350. I am considering an upgrade to the 5020e.

I would greatly appreciate feedback from anyone who has made the same upgrade. Is there a noticeable 2d improvement in either picture quality or brightness at the same settings?
