If you would have expressed your displeasure with Amazon a little more thoroughly, you could have had a replacement AND some money off the replacement for all the hassle and inconvenience. For example, I ordered a treadmill from amazon 1.5 years ago. An $800 purchase, mind you. On the day it was set to arrive to my house, it never showed. I called amazon and they claimed they were showing it at the couriers warehouse. The courier swore up and down they never received it from amazon to deliver to me. This went back and forth for a day or two. I was getting really irritated. I wanted the thing I just paid $800 bucks for. Finally, amazon said they didn't know where my treadmill was and would ship me out a new one free of charge. I said NAY! Not good enough. I wanted a partial refund for all the hassle and phone tag they forced me to play. Amazon then stated they would refund $140 dollars back to my card for all the trouble. That pacified me. I've done this with defective items I have received as well. Next time, get what's coming to you. You deserved to have a perfectly good and working item the first time.
