Looking for a 50" plasma that performs well in bright areas

Are there any?

I currently have a p50u50 1080p Panasonic plasma and the glare that makes the image quality wash out is frustrating me to the point that I'm willing to purchase a new TV that performs well in bright light. There is just no way I can keep my house completely dark when watching TV.

Are there any out there or do I have to move to LED?

For brighter rooms, might have to move to LED/LCD. Maybe buy one local (check return policy) and give it a test drive.
