Hey Guys
I am in the process of installing some LCR in-wall speakers to replace some exising speakers that
are not meeting the current S.A.F.(spousal acceptance factor) after some recent home decor changes.
I'm installing Definitive Tech 6.5's. Here is my question. Does it make sense to stuff the wall
cavities with fiberglass insulation in order to help with resonances, etc? Or perhaps install some dyna-mat
or some similar material? I've installed somein-walls (PSB's) in my kitchen for "background" listening, but
sometimes I crank them up, and I noticed the pics on the opposite wall vibrate and rattle. I thought stuffing
the holes prior to installation might help, but am uncertain. These new speakers will be driven by some serious
amplication (Caver 250W per) and I know I'll be playing them much louder than my other in-walls.
