Screws and speakers?

Are you able to screw a speaker mount into a wooden speaker that doesn't have a mount without harming the speaker sound or anything?

Yes, if you're careful. I bought some used speakers that had the mount and 4 screws still attached. I wouldn't put screws in a little satellite speaker though.

What style speaker mounts are you planning to use on those?

I would take in a few factors. Such as the type of wood the speakers are made with (will it crack if drilled?), the depth of the wood and proximity of any internal components, and the weight capacity of the mount.
