wow, harsh!

Saw this thread mentioned in another where a guy with a Pioneer SC57 had an issue with the server error message. Made me at first not want to try my avr to find out but of course curiosity overcame that quickly enuf! So I start listening to Pandora on my Onkyo HTRC370 and it's fine, except in the second song it stops, indicating it's "buffering", yet at 100%, but no music. I wait a while, no change. Now I try to select another music app on the "net" setting,,.. nothing, it's like I don't even have a "net" selection on the avr as even "net" won't show on the panel. I try unplugging the USB dongle, that doesn't seem to make a difference, so unplugged the avr for a bit and then all okay; I used Pandora for a few hours after that and it's okay. Wonder if it's even the same issue, but the timing was ominous. Tried just now before posting and listened to a coupla songs, it's still okay. Why would it disable avrs particularly? I haven't tried Pandora apps on the Samsung tv or bd player I've got, tho.

Well that link doesn't state new firmwares for receivers, but I checked the SC-67 product page and the Pandora firmware is available for it (came out yesterday, 10th). Downloading right now. Also available for the SC-68. I haven't checked any other products.

GO GET IT!!!!

I have installed it this morning & the installation went perfectly.

just don't put the zip file on the flash drive itself or extract the unzipped folder to the flash drive. once you've extracted the bin files to your hard drive, copy them, not the folder, to a blank FAT32/FAT16 flash drive with no other files on it and the receiver will install them just fine.

And, indeed, the VSX-1022 page also seems to have a new firmware:

As does the VSX-60, downloaded, updated and all is well with Pandora.

Having problem still with firmware update.

Have Pioneer SC-61 and Pandora issue. I downloaded firmware update directly from Pioneer website onto desktop. It saved as Zip file. Extracted files and resaved them as Binary files. Copied them over to my flash drive and then connected flash drive to USB connection on the front the receiver. I followed steps and selected system update/selected update from USB.

I keep getting an error: "The file may be damaged. Either reconnect the USB memory device or replace it. Also trying saving the update file again."

I have tried this 3 separate times on various flash drives.

Any help?

My VSX -60 isn't seeing the update over the network. Updated with USB, no issues. All is well with the world!

Samething I also have SC-61 and get the same error when trying to update with the flash drive! I also tried to update via internet and it says I have the latest version even though the one on the reciever is the older 122 and the new one I downloaded is the 152.

the firmware update just posted for the Pioneer VSX-1022-K did indeed fix the connectivity issue I experienced to Pandora.

I just tried installing the firmware update on my AVR3312CI. I got an error message that said the update failed and now my receiver appears to be in an endless loop trying to update. Help. Did this just toast my receiver?

i have same issues with my sc-67 update error 4 it ll update up too 90% then show that error code tried different flash drives ......called pioneer they have no answer accept keep downloadind and change flash drive............ Any suggestions ? please !!

what brand flash drive did you use and did you download wirelessly? i ll try anything at this point

Its a Kingston 16gb....I downloaded the file to the laptop then unzipped the files and copied them to the flashdrive. Then I also tried to update directly through the Pioneer menu on the SC-61 which is hardwired to the wireless router!

I don't know if any of this will help but...make sure your flash drive is formatted fat16/fat32 and not NTFS, make sure its empty.

I used a SanDisk Cruzer Fit 4GB. I downloaded the Zip file to my Linux machine, unzipped it, copied the resulting bin file to the SanDisk, and then plugged that into the receiver.

I can add that when it worked for me yesterday, I took the extra step of formatting the drive as fat32 before I copied the bin files to it. PNY 8 GB drive. and I never download FW files with wireless, a habit I formed in my early days of PC building & updating motherboard BIOS. maybe wireless is OK but I like to play it safe with files as sensitive as firmware.

Formatting shouldn't be needed but I did it anyway. maybe worth a try

After reading these 2 posts I decided to check my flash drive, now mind you I updated 2 weeks ago with the same drive so it is FAT32 but check this out, I deleted everything off the drive 2 days ago and downloaded the update and put it on the drive, I checked it and it was the same as I downloaded......end result it didnt work like I posted previously, so today after seeing you guys posts I said let me look at the files on the drive again.........I go into the drive and theres 27 or 28 files there all consisting of weird symbols,I dontknow what they were or where they came from no words just symbols but each had a file size! so I tried to delete them and they wouldnt delete so I formatted the drive 2 times, put the firmware I downloaded on the drive again and it just updated completely........going to see if I can get into pandora Ill let you guys know

so it appears I need to be more patient. I left for work this morning with the system trying to do the update. Apparently is was successful at some point today because tonight everything, including Pandora, is working fine.

Ok finally ... Was able to update ! Bought a fourth flash drive a ( PNY 8 gig ) all is well Yea thanks for all of your inputs !!! Merry Chirstmas !!!

Just got the Marantz update installed. Does not seem to fix the Pandora problem unfortunately.

I just got finished installing the firmware update for my AV8801. It worked and so does Pandora now.
