Is it mainly made for the PJ to be used in Dynamic mode?
It enhances image contrast and black levels?
How does it affect image brightness/lumens? Does it decrease the amount of light hitting the screen?
The first post sort of details the use.
Basically, some owners need more lumens for their larger screens, projector to screen distance or just want an overall brighter image.
I believe the filter actually amplifies the light output while providing color accuracy/correction.
In Dynamic mode, the brightness is there but the color can not be tuned to accurate specifications.
This is were the filter comes in to play.
From the first post:
You run the PJ in Dynamic with a few adjustments listed in the instructions. Supposedly, you get over 1200 color correct lumens--in ECO lamp mode. Over 1600 in Normal lamp.
