Need some sub advice.

Could you guys recommend some good subs for $300 or less? I am trying to keep my set up under $1000

I scored some nice deals - Definitive Technology - Mythos SSA-50 sound bar for $450 and I picked up the Denon AVR1613 on black Friday for $250.

I was thinking about the Definitive Technology ProSub 800. I don't need a huge sub as my living room isn't that big. Is there anything else I would need for this set up? Other than HT in a box, I have little to no experience with this stuff so any advice would be great.

What is the size and general layout of the room?

I have the tv / entertainment center up against the wall in the middle picture. Kinda hard to explain my set up.

What are the dimensions of the room (length x width x height)? Is the room sealed or open to one or more rooms? (If the latter, how big are those rooms?)

For $300, the Klipsch RW-12d - when on sale for $300 - is a well-rated choice.

For $499, shipped, the SVS PB-1000 would be a solid choice (IMO). SVS's current sale - today is the last day - includes free return shipping. This sub is over your budget, but I believe it would offer better performance than the RW-12d and work very well in your HT space. If you can swing the extra cash for the purchase price, free shipping both ways makes it a risk-free option to try out.

Thanks, I will have to measure it. I have no idea what the dimensions are to be honest.
