Did you buy a quattron, and wish you had not ?

Anyone wish they had not bought the quattron and just saved the money? I know there are articles going back and fourth about wether its worth it or not. But for those who did, did you feel you got the extra money's worth?

I have no regrets.

BTW.... no need to start two threads with the same basic question(s). wink.gif

I asked cause they are two different questions, and with the limited length of charters, that can be used in the subject. I know people would not see the other question that is why.

Well.... your question(s) should be:
1) Is the Sharp Quattron with RGBY LCD's better than other LCD's (with just RGB) at an extra expense?
2) Is 60 vs..120 vs. 240HZ worth consideration at an extra expense?

#1 is "brand" specific.
#2 is a "feature" generalization which is available across many brands.

Just sayin' wink.gif

I appreciate the way you asked the questions seperatley metalguy. Makes it less confusing and clearer for those of us with ADD and/or a lower IQ. Also don't see the harm. If I am wrong I'm sure I'll be corrected.

Nope don't regret it! Quatrron is like people who buy smartphone and laptops with Beats audio.

How so? As technically it does add real eq to the phone and laptop. Sure the speakers are small and its hard to hear a massive difference, but there is a real difference sonically.

I have no regrets with the Quattron. Compared to the tri-color, the fleshtones and black and white are more consistent.
The yellow pixel allows a deeper green to be used because the green doesn't have to span the entire center of the spectrum.
Whether the yellow pixel is put to full use is another question as is the LED backlight's tendency towards blue.
A much wider gamut could have been achieved with the 4 colors and a full-spectrum backlight. As it is, the red is anemic...

Because Beats gets people to think that there software makes a cheap low output amp into a high quality amp, EQ apps cost about 5$ on the app store for android and do the same exact thing that Beats does. I'm listing to music on my laptop that has a Realtek ALC268 I have my Skullcandy Hesh 2 (I like Skullcandy get over it) plugged in it the sound quality is amazing and it gets loud enough to hurt my ears if I wanted to.
