My thinking is running my Directv through my Oppo103 via the in hdmi and to my tv via the out hdmi from my oppo will give me a clearner video connection as opposed to running it through a preamp/processor. I also thought that connecting my oppo via the 7.1 rca connections directly into my external amp would give me a better audio connection and again cleaner audio than using my preamp/proc. My subwoofer is self power and could also be connection via the rca. Does anyone have an opinion about this connection.

Pros:“Excellent value for the price - Paid $79.95 at Frys.”“Absolutely stunning 24p play back. Networked Apps are flawless (wired). Very customizable. Unbelievable DLNA capability. Ability to skip the unskippables in a DVD. Overall professional onscreen GUI. Audio Quality is surprisingly very good. Upscaling as a customizable, menu driven item. Very Apple-esque.”
