I currently have a Sony SXRD 60XBR1 in perfect condition. My current optical block was replaced 2 years ago, and is still working perfectly; possibly thanks to use only in reduced power mode and high-altitude. Since this optical block was put in, the TV has been performing as new.
But, I really have the itch for a new TV.
I came across a used Mitsubishi 73838 in excellent condition. I can probably get it for around $900. Then, I could sell my Sony for whatever I could get (the serial number sticker is gone).
Is the picture quality of the 73838 as good or better than my SXRD XBR1? Would this be a worthwhile upgrade?
