I found the buydig.com price also, and ordered from Amazon, and I just got the confirmation for the price match and refund from Amazon.

I noticed that as well.

It seems like most of the onest I checked were the one and only review from the customer. Makes me wonder.

FYI....

I called around last week on pricing and availability for this TV. I wanted to know the delivered price to my house including White Glove.

I didn't want to deal with drivers trying to leave while I still needed to take into the house, unbox, and plug in.

Ryther had a large difference in cost for what they showed on the website and the delivered price.

They also told me that their standard TV price didn't come with a warranty.

I thanked them for the info and politely hung up.

I shortly afterward got an email from them with a lower price. It was still much higher than their price on the web.

Information is power. Do your research and call around...

I tried to purchase this TV from BuyDig, and had a bad experience. It took 8 days to arrive, and when we plugged it in, it was defective, apparently having internal cracks to the screen. As per their instructions, I refused the shipment, and BuyDig promised to replace it. That was April 29. Their communication was terrible... I had to call them two days later to verify a replacement was coming, because I never received an email and my order status online did not reflect the new situation.

Finally on May 9, the new order was showing online, but was listed as out of stock. When I called them, they told me they will not be getting any more of this television. Didn't bother to notify me... I had to call them. Only good thing I can say about them is that at least it appears the refund is being handled promptly. But nearly three weeks have gone by, I still don't have a television, and it appears that low price options for this television are drying up fast.

Hello,

I just got my TV this week. I called many places before buying. BuyDig was highly recommended, but they didn't have it when I was looking to buy 2 weeks ago.

I don't know where you live, but a forum member in DC may have one for sale. If I didn't just buy one, I would have scooped his up. He is trustworthy and you know the set is good.

I ended up using ECTV. They did what they promised (almost).

I don't think low price options are drying up.

East Coast TV looks like a good option. Forum member Chris from Cleveland Plasma is also checking what he can do for me, the problem being I live in California and his primary warehouse has a facility here and would have to charge me sales tax.

I called this site: http://www.ordertvnow.com/Sharp/SharpAquos7.aspx
because $6399 is a fantastic price, but red flags went up when a) they said there were only two left, b) white glove shipping was included, but wanted an extra 3% for credit cards and would wait 10 days for the credit card to clear, pushing a bank wire transfer instead (I know some small businesses have to pass on credit card fees, but it isn't a sign of professionalism or success when a company does so), and c) I couldn't find out anything at all about their site or company, or any positive customer reviews online.

I suppose they're probably a grey market seller with a 99% chance that nothing would go wrong, but I can't afford the 1% risk that another defective unit arrives, because I strongly suspect I wouldn't get my money back.

The forum member in DC might be an option if we could arrange the shipping to CA, and insure it for both our sakes. How would I get in touch with him?

I sent you a private message.

while I love CP I doubt they will come close to ECTV. He is in the business of making a profit (thats a good thing)

Being an owner of the 80 inch for almost a year, I would consider buying a 90 this next time BUT, I paid a bit over $3200 for the 80 so unless this 90 comes in under $5000, I would never consider one.

I wonder if it's last years model? What was that....an 857? If not I'm ready to buy.
Doesn't matter to me if it's this year's or last. At that price I'd buy it!

Okay. So was it the 90LE745 or the 90LE657 for $5500?

My costco says over 7200 for it... and thats the old model
post #120 of 120
Looking for best economical place to buy the 90" and get a reputable 5 year extended warranty on it. Fine with xx745 or xx657 model. Any suggestions? I'm not how how good extended warranty is from on-line sellers.....and have had perception that Costco and Sam's stand behind their extended warranties better......and at least best buy I can holler at locally if ever needed. But, I don't see any available at sam's or costco and the bb deal is long gone........
