I always say go for the best you can afford but don't paint yourself into a corner and not be able to get a 2nd sub. Nothing shabby about dual RW-12d subs. Most people would be happier than a pig in mud with those.
Depends on how long you want to wait to get a better sub than the Klipsch and a 2nd one after that. That's going to take some serious coin. On a side note, I just pulled the trigger on a RW-12d for my son's birthday.
It will simply kill the old Cerwin Vega sub I gave him a couple of years ago. If he wants a 2nd one he'll just have to get it himself.
Just when I was starting to think you'd never get one. Congrats! Let just hope there are no port tube or LCD screen issues. The port tube is no big deal but the LCD is another story of course.
I wouldn't mind a threesome but not with subs.
You don't NEED a remote. There are actual buttons that actually work.
Once it's set (assuming the auto-standby mode works, if such things concern you), it's a set-and-forget item, like any other speaker.
And where does newegg charge (I'm sorry, "collect") tax besides NJ?
