I would think a Y-cable and spend that money on an amp for you mains or put it towards better subs would be much more beneficial. Maybe I'm missing what upgrades would be worth it (I guess sub eq and xt32)

just my opinion though.

You are definitely pushing for better subs aren't you? I see you are "subless...for now."

What sub is on your radar?

Let me ask you what kind of gain are you looking at going from the 2112 to the x4000?

Not pushing for subs, but certain people look at things differently....that's why this is a subjective hobby

Well, I'm upgrading to the RF82's so I'm thinking they would benefit from a more powerful receiver.

You should start your own thread instead of clogging this one up. smile.gif

Understandable I guess. I've always found that adding a good bit more power has helped with multiple aspects. The power step up from the 2112 to the x4000 is there, but likely not really that audible (over an similar priced stand alone amp, etc). You're not likely to use more than a few watts most of the time anyways, especially using a 98db/8ohm speaker.

But yeah, we can get back on topic for Bond

....even thought it's only like 1/10th of one page of a 28 page thread lol tongue.gif

Its for his own good also. Since hes starting to talk about basically a new system he will get more input with his own thread.

I suppose I could put one in each of the remaining corners of my living room. biggrin.gif Tempting, but I won't. The neighbor was already searching his house the other night trying to find the thump.
