Indecisiveness is an excuse. Why would you want to wait? At $299.99, you're not going get a better delivered price from Newegg. And if you don't put your order in now, in a few hours it'll be too late. What are you waiting for?

Depends what you want. For $299 the Klipsch is a solid pick. If you want to save up and get something better, that makes sense too.

There should be no indecisiveness. One either wants the RW-12d or they don't and one isn't going get a better delivered price unless buying used. If I wasn't holding out for a pair of Funk, 18.0 C's, If just to be a throw away sub, I'd have already bought a pair of RW-12d's. So no, other than for fiscal consideration, I don't understand the hesitation of wanting to buy a pair of RW-12d's.

Agreeing with you and at the same time, moving the thinking forward, for perspective, form factor and quality of output, the next level of subwoofer on my dance card is a SVS, PB12-NSD. And yes, I know that leaves a boatload of quality choices behind and yes, I know I'm totally leapfrogging the $500.00 category as if it doesn't exist. Shame on me. I'm such a nancy like that. tongue.gif

I hear ya. I guess it's more of a money thing since it's the holiday season. Feeling a bit guilty on spending $300 on a gift for me I think.....

I'm all for ending Christmas gift giving. Not going political or religious on you as Christmas is about Christ, not gifts. There's only so much in the kitty and you know the cart is turned around when we don't have enough for ourselves but we're expected to give to everybody else.

If the money is there, go for it. If it's about giving gifts, this very moment, budget for your gifts and if after budgeting for the gifts you have $300.00 left over, without hesitation, call Newegg up, order the sub and then with what you've budgeted, have a very Merry Christmas.

Why? Are your kids running around in rags and suffering from malnutrition? Either you can afford it or you can't. It will sell out fast.

Awesome to see someone post that in this ****** politically correct society where everyone is afraid to speak their mind because they might offend the 1% who are a bunch of loonies anyway and will find something to be offended by no matter what 99% of us do or say. My 2 cents.
btw you are probably talking that guy out of money he needs to feed his children.mad.gif

Yes. I messed this up and don't know how to fix it. From Awesome forward above are not BeeMans words. They are mine. So if you have a problem with it let ME know.

I have a Martin Logan Dynamo (original model, bought in 2006) that is about to get migrated into my new theater build. I WAS going to hold out and try the ML before considering another sub, but this deal has me wondering if I should just grab it at this price. (I am doing an HTD Level 2 system, towers in front- room is 18' D X 13' wide, 10'-12' ceilings- theater is mainly for action movies and PS3 gaming.)

FYI- my INITIAL plan was to spend 3-400 and grab a level 2 or level 3 sub in the near future to complete the package.

Hmmm....

Then you should PM the poster and ask him. And if you messed it up, Lord knows, I'm pretty regular at messing up. tongue.gif

Hmmm....

Spec for the level three sub:

Power: 170 watts RMS, 290 watts peak

Frequency Response: 22 Hz - 150 Hz

Voice Coil: 3"

Shielded Magnet: 9 OZ neodymium

Sensitivity: 90 dB

Dimensions (HxWxD*): 20 1/2" x 15 3/4" x 17 3/4"

Weight (per piece): 52 lbs

Key Functions: Power (on/off, auto-on/auto-off), Phase switch, Variable Level Control, circuit protection

I don't think that sub is going to hang with the Klipsch and will cost more. I'd go for the Klipsch before it sells out at that price.

Trigger pulled on Klipsch. Looking forward to comparing it to the 'ole Dynamo. Not sure whether I'll keep the ML or put it on the sale block. I'll do some serious A/B after next week when my gear goes in... biggrin.gif

Well....I pulled the trigger. I hope it's all that people have been saying as I had to choose between clothes and warm food for the kids.....or this sub..... I went the sub route. I figured the kids can get by with pillow sacks and Ramen noodles for a few more months.....heck...Ramen is hot right?

The trick is to not tighten the drawstring too tight. tongue.gif And FYI, the subwoofer box is a magical box. If you plant the cardboard remains in the backyard, in the light of a blue full moon.............the next one being due on July 31, 2015 so be sure to store that packing.

It will make them appreciate the good times like when they have peanut butter and jelly.

And when you're older and have to control calories, you'll look back on those unrestricted days of peanut butter and jelly calories with a big siiiiiiigh and maybe a tear or seventy-five.

I can't have peanut butter, too many calories. Boo, hoo. And during the Summer/Fall season I'm reduced to making strawberry jam with Splenda as that keeps the calories to five per serving. Next is making homemade syrup for pre-made waffles with no butter. When the children become oldsters, they'll remember those P&J days with fondness.
