Not sure if the 25C will fit. You'll have to check the measurements.
Sweet! And a custom fit for that cheap center. wink.gif Whatever it is.

Yeah. I was really surprised when I found that. Not expensive for a riser, the stainless look goes with the speakers, and about a perfect fit for the RC-LCR. biggrin.gif

No LCD issues but congrats on your new arrival.

I am still shocked to this day everytime I read that some one gets one of these with a loose port. I have had my two RW-12s for almost 2 years and have experienced no issues at all. The box they came in were a little scratched up but the subs were 100% perfect.

No, mine goes dark after several seconds after use. Once set you could always tape something to block the light...or go thru the return process. At least it wasn't both (looking on the bright side, no pun intended)

You have two options on the LCD issue. Called NewEgg and exchange it or call Klipsch and put in a warranty claim. Me? I would go through the NewEgg route first, IF, it doesn't cost you anything. I've read some had to pay for return shipping, but you're issue seem to be a defect, so if they try to make you pay for the return, that is BS.

What do you mean doesnt decrease? You cant control the brightness? The display never shuts off? Does everything else work ok on the display except the brightness?

The more common problem (besides the loose port) is that it doesn't go into "Standby" mode.

What does the display read (in use and after 20 or so minutes after use [assuming you're using auto mode])?

Congrats, sort of.

And at that price, to think, they actually limit you to "ONLY," five units. tongue.gif

So I have been reading this thread for a few days and I am thinking of picking up one of these subs. I was looking at the HSU MK4, but as great of a sub as it is, I don't think I can swallow $800 for a sub. How will this sub perform in my setup? Will a $300 sub be enough?

Current setup:

Energy Veritas v6.1 L&R
Energy Veritas 5.2c
Energy VS Surround
Older Harmon Kardon AVR500 receiver (updating to a Denon with Audyssey in the future)

Room size & Actual Floor plan:

Note: Flooring is floating wood; Kitchen is open to living room.

No.

Based on your budget comment, buy one now and add one later will be the proper approach as that's a lotta room to expect to be properly pressurized by one subwoofer.

If that suggests that you're willing to go to $600, 2 of these would be pretty good.

For the money, fantastic.

Two HSU's would be better. wink.gif

Interesting, thanks. So 2 of these would be better than a single HSU MK4? I don't want to spend money wishing for more later.

Perhaps I will order one to see how it works, and if it's a quality product as everyone seems to suggest, I will order a second.

It will be "better" in that two will be able to fill your room better and more evenly (fewer room nulls) than one, so just order two and be done with it.

Unless you see a budget windfall in the future, in which case plan for two HSU's.

But two decent subs will work well for you now.

Thank you all for the advice. I will update the thread with my opinion on the results.

All of the above, I can't decrease or increase the brightness (there's a control to decrease the brightness that's obviously not working) nor does the display not shut off (go into standby mode). So I always have the bright lcd screen coming off that sub frown.gif

I'll probably submit a claim to exchange it with newegg, just sucks gonna have to wait again!

With that size of a room you will be better off buying the VTF-15H DualDrive. Don't skim on the sub now or you will be disappointed later. I love my RW-12D sub. It sound good for my small living room area, but I know I will have to buy a better sub when we buy our own house since the houses we are looking at have a similar floor plan like yours.

Thanks for the advice, but I'm not sure I could swing $2000 for a sub. frown.gif

I know what you mean, I definitely know my wife wouldn't let me do that. Have you seen the new SVS 1000 series subs for $499.99? You can try it for 45 days and if it doesn't work you can returned them free of charge. I am thinking if I buy a second sub I will go with one of them. Here's the link:

http://www.svsound.com/1000-series-landing?utm_source=Audioholics&utm_medium=bnr&utm_content=160x600&utm_campaign=pb1000

By going with their specs they appear to be better than the RW-12D.

They have one (or more, perhaps) of each in the outlet for "only" $475.

Do you (Gus) think one of those would still be better than 2 12d's?

Or maybe you (Titan) can push your budget to $950?

Certainly fitting for the money he's going to have to spend.

It they were reduced to $400 yes. For $475, you mind as well pay $25 more for brand new. I don't like buying reconditioned / refurbished equipment unless they are heavily discounted.

How come everyntime I go to the SVS website, half the screen is black. It didnt used to be that way. Have they made changes. I am using an Android tablet.
