Hi I just got a used HC6500 from Goodwill for $50!! I couldn't believe it! I tested for functionality before i bought it.
However I am noticing scan lines on the image, I think thats what they are? I used to install home theater so I am fairly competent with these devices. The best way I can described the picture is that one line is darker and the next line is lighter all the way up the screen almost looks like the sun shining through some blinds, I have the image on a white sheet right now until I can get a proper screen.
The lamp has 680 hours use on it, so it should be good, the brightness and contrast levels are fantastic!
I read somewhere that artifacts can be indicative of LCD projectors, I'm not sure if this is the same though.
I'm at work right now I'll try and post some pics later.

Now you know why it was 60 dollars. I had to pay a good amount of money to add them to my LCD tv, they most certainly weren't a feature.

Does anyone know what causes this? is it something to do with the lens or motherboard? It happens on all inputs and all devices. The image is still very watchable and if its slightly out of focus the lines are not so visible, I would definitely pay $50 again for this.
