Hello everyone!
I currently have a Panasonic TH50pz80u that is getting on in age. I was thinking about upgrading to an LCD type television. I mainly use my TV hooked up to my PC gaming rig to play games and as an extra desktop. Especially now with steam big picture mode its pretty great! I am interested in the quality of 3D. Mostly 3D from gaming since I would run it from my PC through my nvidia card.
My second biggest usage for it is Movies. I don't watch television at all.
My biggest problems with my current TV are the dithering and annoying buzzing noise it makes. Oh and its a furnace in the summer time!
I was looking to upgrade to a Samsung UN55ES7500. I could possibly swing the ES8000 if it is really worth the extra money but would rather not shell it out. From what it looks like the TV supports chroma 4:4:4 which is great.
Would the picture quality upgrade on the Samsung be worth ditching my current Panasonic plasma for?
Any input would be much appreciated!
