I was surfin the web early this morning 4am - 6am.
The AVS logo in LH was missing, so I posted it here.
for whatever reason the webpage was not displaying it, so I wondered it there was a tweak to it, the graphic down,

Now, I see it's back there.........

Ok - it's a Firefox/MacOS issue.
AVS logo shows on:
Safari/MacOSX

Via my work Dell laptop:
AVS logo shows on
IE8/Windows
Firefox/Windows

Below image show that on my home iMac, along with that all my software is latest:
The bottom browser window is Firefox, the top one with logo is Safari.
Something in your AVS forum code is causing that?


Being a multi-use computer, I use Firefox and my wife Safari.....keeps the peace in our home, separate bookmarks/etc....

No, I use Firefox and my MacOSX in normal mode...
all add ons always there...

Open if safe mode to rule out an add-on.

I have to think we have thousands of folks using FF on macs and we'd have many more reports of this.

Or it's just my OCD to notice and point this out, as it does not really affect forum usage at all.
Like I said, all was fine till yesterday.
Nothing changed my side.
Just AVS brand is missing....your call.

Held down option key, restart FF in safe mode, AVS logo shows up....

Well - here they are, all std ones....I'll shut all down, re-start, my guess Like Steve Jobs "hated" it flash thats causing conflict....

Well, when I dis-able abblock plus 2.2.1 the AVS logo comes back.
When I enable abblock plus 2.2.1 the AVS logo is blocked....

That is the root cause, nothing else toggles it.

So, what ads are being streamed thru the AVS logo - or its related code??

My Safari has adblock 2.5.49, and it allows the AVS logo.

It's not an ad...it's just a logo. biggrin.gif

I have abblock plus 2.2.1 and it shows up fine.

You most likely blocked the image an never realized it.

ok -under the tools menu there is a menu selection for adblock plus.
I went to "report issue on this page", this came up


I diabled the filter, hit reload, and it now shows the AVS logo.
Again, I did NOTHING at all, this arose at weird 5am early hour as stated in my 1st post......

Not world peace, my OCD forced me to solve it though....

You (or someone with access to that device) most likely applied that filter at some point without knowing it.
