Flyback transformers are a great source of compact, efficient and powerful high voltage (hence why they are used in almost all CRT devices) but I figure the biggest ones would live inside CRT projectors. Where does one buy replacement Flyback transformers from?
I am using them to generate high voltage for various physics projects and currently use a number of smaller flybacks from large CRT TVs, but I'd love to get my hands on a couple of big fat flybacks, and I think a spare parts supplier would be the best option. A google search has turned up nothing useful, does anyone know where to buy big flybacks from, and even recommendations as to which projectors have the biggest flybacks in them would be much appreciated.
Thanks all!
