I connected it with the AUX and I can't get the volume to come out of the sound bar. I plugged the cables in the correct plugs in the TV. I have the soundbar set to AUX and still nothing.
I don't understand why I can't figure this out. There must be a hidden settings in the TV or something to switch from TV speakers to external speakers, but I can't find it.
I have never tried connecting any speaker system directly to the tv itself before, so I may not be of too much help here...but in the main Menu, Setup, then in viera link settings there is an option near the bottom of that list for default speakers, not sure if that will help though.
The only audio out on your set is optical, so that has to be the connection to your sound bar. You then need to go into the set menu and turn off your internal speakers. Look for it in one of the operation menu options, not in the audio menu. That should work.
Yeah that is the only audio out option on this tv, I just tried it myself, optical from the tv to the AVR, didn't have to mess with any menu settings, the audio worked as soon as I plugged it in.
Yeah, but usually if you don't turn off the set speakers you'll get audio from both the set and the sound bar, which is not ideal . May be different on your set-up.
