Sony controlling market for their bulbs? VW-40/50/60 bulbs nowhere except full price sony store

Anyone else notice how you can no longer find oem sony bulbs on older model projectors but only through sony at full price? I usually ordered from a reputable site and got my bulb for about 300 bucks but now I must buy from Sony direct for about 100 more...this sucks
