Hi, so I'm building a new home. Included in this home are a family room and dedicated theater. Those rooms will have extensive speaker setups, amps, sound treatments, etc.
But, for the other rooms (office, bedrooms), I'm torn between a soundbar under the TV vs in-ceiling speakers. I have a low-voltage guy, and he actually suggested the sound bar; he said something like, "If it was me I'd just throw a soundbar in there and call it done, because in-ceiling speakers ain't that great and a sound bar's less money."
Anyone have a sound bar and/or ceiling speakers and like/dislike the setup? I understand the audio limitations and am not expecting realistic surround from either option.
