The Day -- a fun ride

Did a search but this title didn't come up so don't think this has been commented on- picked it up as a "haven't heard of this" rental hoping it would be O.K. (Dominic Monaghan is in it), I REALLY liked it. Post apocalypse, gritty, pretty brutal, I thought well acted and paced, in black and white (mostly). Recommend to anyone not too sensitive about gore or fans of apocalypse movies.

Watched tonite and enjoyed.

Something of a post-apocalyptic cannibal survival movie, with good acting and good suspense.

Although the budget was probably 6 or 7 bucks and the use of someone's old, broken down Mid-Western farm, the movie is reasonably well done and worth a rental.

I watched this today and thought it was ok, would have been much better sans the post-apocalyptic color palette on steroids which I found very distracting. I give it 2 sepia zombies.

I paid, actually my company paid, $10 to rent this so they got their budget back and then some. smile.gif

Yeah, it looked over processed. I was on a business trip and watched this on a hotel tv as part of my 31 days of horror movies this year. I think the LCD monitor had a 5:1 contrast ratio and the movie was a download so, in combination, everything was washed out, crushed or macro blocked.

I did give it 2 1/2 Zombies because I really liked Ashley Bell in this and is always fun when the cannibals banter with the non cannibals.

Although not really related it kinda reminded me of Blood Creek, from the "shelter in place/farmhouse" angle, although Blood Creek was much more enjoyable IMO.
